He emphasised the importance of sustaining close collaboration as the country accelerates its development agenda, particularly in infrastructure, energy and productive industries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">He congratulated Monyau on her appointment and expressed confidence in her leadership, highlighting her previous experience as the Bank\u2019s Country Manager in Sudan.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">In her remarks, Monyau reaffirmed the Bank Group\u2019s commitment to Tanzania and highlighted the strategic alignment of its operations with the country\u2019s Vision 2050. She said the Bank\u2019s engagement focuses on sustainable infrastructure development, quality education, accelerated industrialisation and strengthened institutions to support economic diversification.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">She also underscored the synergy between Tanzania\u2019s Vision 2050 and the AfDB President Dr Sidi Ould Tah\u2019s Four Cardinal Points for Africa\u2019s development, noting that this alignment would continue to guide investment priorities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Monyau said the Bank\u2019s infrastructure investments will further enhance regional integration, improve connectivity and competitiveness, and boost income and employment opportunities. She added that continued support for natural resource governance would help maximise benefits from Tanzania\u2019s extractive industries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The AfDB&#8217;s cumulative commitments to Tanzania now exceed $9.5 billion across 167 projects, reflecting a strong and sustained development partnership.
