The decision comes amid growing demand for high\u2011quality, well\u2011trained coaches across the country. SAFA Technical Director Molefi Ntseki confirmed the appointment to SABC Sport, stressing that filling the role was critical to ensuring continuity and quality in the association\u2019s coaching education programmes. The position became vacant after Keneilwe \u201cMaestro\u201d Mathibela was recruited by FIFA last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had it very tough in our technical division because we did not have enough experience to make sure all the programmes run smoothly,\u201d Ntseki said. \u201cThat is why it was important to bring someone with the right background and expertise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mall emerged as the successful candidate following a competitive recruitment process. Ntseki highlighted his extensive credentials, noting that Mall is a former Technical Director of Mauritius and a current FIFA Instructor.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the post was advertised, Mall applied alongside others. After interviews, it was clear that his experience stood out,\u201d Ntseki said. \u201cIf we want to elevate ourselves to FIFA level, we need people who already operate at that level.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mall brings more than three decades of experience in coaching education. He previously worked at the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations, where he led coaching and Technical Study Group programmes, and spent five years as Technical Director in Mauritius. His appointment comes at a crucial moment, as SAFA has fully re\u2011aligned with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) coaching convention, with CAF A and B licence courses currently running nationwide.<\/p>\n

SAFA believes Mall\u2019s appointment will significantly enhance coach development, strengthen technical standards and support the long\u2011term growth of football across all levels in the country.<\/p>\n
