{"id":31307,"date":"2026-04-10T13:06:04","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T11:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=31307"},"modified":"2026-04-10T13:06:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T11:06:04","slug":"sa-womens-soccer-team-to-play-friendly-against-algeria","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-womens-soccer-team-to-play-friendly-against-algeria\/","title":{"rendered":"SA women&#8217;s soccer team to play friendly against Algeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: var(--global--font-size-base);\">South Africa&#8217;s (SA) women&#8217;s soccer team Banyana Banyana sees their upcoming two friendly internationals against Algeria as an integral part of their preparations for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Women&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations will get underway on the 25th of July.<\/p>\n<p>Banyana Banyana is hard at work, finalising details for the WAFCON, which will take place in Morocco in July.<\/p>\n<p>The competition was postponed last month.<\/p>\n<p>Banyana Captain Refiloe Jane says the team must use these matches to improve problem areas within their game.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s going to be very important for us to prepare very well, work on our tactics as a team.
