{"id":31555,"date":"2026-04-11T16:22:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T14:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=31555"},"modified":"2026-04-11T16:22:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T14:22:01","slug":"africa-based-charity-sues-prince-harry-over-alleged-defamation","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/africa-based-charity-sues-prince-harry-over-alleged-defamation\/","title":{"rendered":"Africa-based charity sues Prince Harry over alleged defamation \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A charity co-founded by Prince Harry in honour of his late mother Princess Diana has launched legal action against him in the High Court in London.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Lesotho-based HIV\/AIDS organisation Sentebale is suing the British royal for defamation, alleging he was part of what it describes as a co-ordinated \u201cadverse media campaign\u201d that caused reputational harm to the charity and its leadership.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The dispute follows Prince Harry\u2019s departure from the organisation last year after a reported fallout with its Chairperson.
