The South Africa’s (SA) national rugby Sevens team, Blitzboks are still celebrating after winning the Hong Kong Sevens for the first time.<\/p>\n
The Blitzboks have put together an impressive run of form, winning four tournaments in a row across the globe. They also sit at the top of the World Championship standings, despite being the only team that does not need to qualify for next season.<\/p>\n
After a shaky start in Hong Kong, which included an unconvincing win against Uruguay and a loss to Spain, players received a stern response from their coach. Senior player Ryan Oosthuizen says the tough approach was necessary.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe lost against Spain very badly on Friday. The coach had harsh words with us. It wasn\u2019t nice; it was almost like your dad scolding you or yelling at you, but it was needed. We know what the Blitzbok standard is, and we didn\u2019t live up to that standard.\u201d<\/p>\n
