Questions are growing over the role of Chad\u2019s President Mahamat D\u00e9by as the war in Sudan continues to spill across borders and draw in regional actors.<\/p>\n

According to report by International Crisis Group, Chad\u2019s government may be allowing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to move arms through its territory into Sudan, where they are believed to be supporting the Rapid Support Forces. In return, it is alleged that financial support is being channelled towards Chad. The UAE has denied any involvement in such arrangements.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
These claims have placed D\u00e9by\u2019s administration under fresh scrutiny, with observers questioning how Chad is positioning itself in a conflict that has already destabilised parts of the region.<\/p>\n

J\u00e9r\u00f4me Tubiana, an adviser with M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res, says the situation is also creating pressure inside Chad itself.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cThese decisions are not without consequences domestically. There are clear tensions within the political and military establishment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He warned that the growing involvement of external powers, including Gulf states, could deepen and prolong the crisis.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cThe longer this war continues, the greater the danger it poses not just to Sudan, but to the stability of Chad and the wider region,\u201d Tubiana added.<\/p>\n
