Microsoft has, in recent years, emerged as \u200ba major player in the AI race, benefiting from its early \u200bbet on OpenAI that allowed it to quickly launch AI technology across its products.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But tensions have been rising between the companies \u200bover the tie-up as OpenAI strikes cloud deals \u200bwith rival companies and investors scrutinise Microsoft&#8217;s alliance with OpenAI. The \u200c<em>Financial \u2060Times<\/em> reported in March that Microsoft was weighing legal action against Amazon and OpenAI over a $50 billion cloud deal that could breach its exclusive cloud partnership.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Under the \u200breworked partnership, \u200bMicrosoft will \u2060remain OpenAI&#8217;s primary cloud partner and will hold a license to ChatGPT \u200bcreator&#8217;s intellectual property through 2032.
