There \u2060was no other solution than to listen to them. The goal \u200bis to preserve peace,&#8221; Energy Minister Aboubacar Sa\u00efd Anli said at a \u200bpress conference.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said Azali suspended the decrees related to the fuel price hike, which were introduced on May 9, to allow for talks on the matter.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Clashes broke out \u200bon Friday following a meeting between the mayor of the Anjouan \u200bisland town of Mirontsy and the fishermen&#8217;s association, which has been on strike since \u200cWednesday \u2060in protest against rising fuel prices.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Roads were also blocked with stones in Mutsamudu, Anjouan&#8217;s capital.
