Opposition groups have accused the government of unilaterally enforcing an unrepresentative electoral timeline and building an institutional setup that fails to offer basic guarantees for a fair, competitive, and transparent vote.<\/p>\n

Amid the escalating political friction, leadership within Guinea’s Catholic Church has intervened publicly, urging both the military authorities and civilian political actors to halt hostile rhetoric and return to constructive dialogue. Church leaders emphasised that establishing an inclusive political environment remains the only viable path to managing a peaceful transition toward constitutional order.<\/p>\n

“When authorities impose strict administrative conditions in a highly sensitive political climate, it inevitably creates suspicion,” Diallo stated. “If the objective is transparency and institutional strengthening, then the process must be applied fairly and openly to all parties.
