Armed men reportedly intercepted his vehicle, firing at the car before taking the trio hostage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Days before the military confirmed his death, a distressing video surfaced on social media showing a frail Abubakar in captivity alongside his wife and other hostages. In the footage, the retired general appeared to have suffered a severe injury to his left leg.
