The visit, undertaken at the invitation of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chairman Ren Hongbin, included engagements with government leaders, businesses and investors.<\/p>\n

Mashatile thanked CCPIT for hosting SA at the China International Supply Chain Expo and reaffirmed the country\u2019s commitment to deepening economic ties with China.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
During his address at the Expo, Mashatile highlighted the importance of resilient, diversified and sustainable global supply chains, noting their relevance in a changing global economy. \u201cSA is an attractive investment destination supported by sophisticated industrial capabilities, a world-class financial sector and well-established logistics infrastructure,\u201d Mashatile said.<\/p>\n

Mashatile added that his government remains committed to reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business, accelerating infrastructure development and strengthening industrial competitiveness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mashatile also conducted a walkabout at the Expo, engaging exhibitors across sectors including digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, green energy, agriculture and smart mobility.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mashatile held a bilateral meeting with China\u2019s Vice President Han Zheng, where both countries reaffirmed their strong relationship and discussed cooperation in trade, investment, industrial development and multilateral engagement.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Further discussions focused on improving market access, expanding business participation and strengthening collaboration on trade platforms.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mashatile met with several Chinese companies, including China Communications Construction Company, Geely Automobile, Chery Automobile, GMM Holding, Beijing GeoEnviron Engineering & Technology and SANY Group.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Talks covered opportunities in infrastructure development, automotive manufacturing, mineral beneficiation, environmental management, renewable energy, healthcare and skills development. He encouraged investment in SA and invited companies to participate in the upcoming SA Investment Conference.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In the second leg of the visit, Mashatile travelled to Shenzhen, where he participated in the China\u2013SA Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange and held further bilateral meetings with government, business and Communist Party representatives.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
These included engagements with officials from the Nanshan District, China Everbright Environment, technology and automotive firms, and the SA-China Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mashatile also visited Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics and later met with Shenzhen Communist Party Secretary Jin Lei.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The visit concluded in Dongguan, where Mashatile toured the SA Commodity China Exhibition and Trade Centre, a platform aimed at strengthening trade through imports and exports. \u201cSA values institutions that create practical mechanisms for expanding trade, attracting investment and facilitating business partnerships,\u201d Mashatile said.<\/p>\n
