Announced alongside the International Co-operative Alliance, this year\u2019s commemoration highlights how co-operative enterprises drive social justice, cushion economic insecurity, and mend fractured communities. In a global climate strained by conflict and inequality, the UN emphasises that true peace requires democratic ownership and shared responsibility rather than capital-driven gains.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The global co-operative movement now includes more than 12% of humanity across 3 million cooperatives worldwide.
