This follows recent xenophobic attacks in SA and the repatriation of more than 300 Ghanaian business owners who abandoned their enterprises and are now seeking compensation from their government.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sinkala noted that while official state-to-state diplomatic relations remain fully functional, with open embassies in both capitals and SA companies like MTN operating smoothly in Ghana, a clear rift has formed at the citizen level.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This tension directly contradicts the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, a pact SA signed that requires member states to integrate peoples and businesses to build a shared economy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to Sinkala, standard bilateral visits are no longer enough to address the scale of the issue.
