{"id":41850,"date":"2026-08-07T18:28:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=41850"},"modified":"2026-08-07T18:28:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:28:10","slug":"sa-court-sentences-man-over-fatal-shooting-of-dj-warras","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-court-sentences-man-over-fatal-shooting-of-dj-warras\/","title":{"rendered":"SA court sentences man over fatal shooting of DJ Warras \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Johannesburg High Court has sentenced Mozambican national Joaquim Armando Pacula to 25 years imprisonment for his role in the murder of popular South African (SA) broadcaster Warrick Stock, known to fans as &#8220;DJ Warras.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pacula entered into a plea and sentence agreement with the state, pleading guilty to charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and violations of the Immigration Act.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Stock was fatally shot in December last year outside the Zambesi building in the Johannesburg central business district.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the National Prosecuting Authority, proceedings against Pacula\u2019s co-accused, Victor Majola, are ongoing.
