New Australia coach Les Kiss has got the seal of approval from his players as the Wallabies look to extend their winning streak \u200bto five matches when they take on Argentina in the \u200csecond test in Mendoza on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Speedy winger Max Jorgensen says Kiss, who took over from Joe Schmidt last month and has led the Wallabies to two wins over \u200bJapan and last Saturday\u2019s first test success in San Salvador de Jujuy, \u200bhas moved quickly to imprint his stamp on the job.<\/p>\n
\u201cLes has \u2060been great since he’s come in,\u201d Jorgensen told a virtual press \u200bconference on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone knows he’s a world-class coach, and obviously he has won \u200bhis first three games, which has been amazing. It’s changed a little bit, he\u2019s made it his own, but you know, the base was already there from what Joe \u200bbuilt over the past two years, but he definitely has made it \u200bhis own and brought his sort of expertise into the group and has really \u200cbeen \u2060driving that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Schmidt signed off his tenure with a Nations Championship victory over Italy at the end of July, but before that, the Wallabies had lost nine of 10 tests.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels great,\u201d Jorgensen added. \u201cEveryone wants to be in a winning \u200bchange room after \u200ba test match.<\/p>\n
\u201cKissy’s \u2060been real driving that message of just focusing on ourselves, our process, and keeping it within our group and \u200bnot letting the outside noise take over.\u201d<\/p>\n
Saturday\u2019s game comes \u200bjust under \u206013 months before Australia hosts the World Cup.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously, the World Cup’s going to be massive, and I think everyone has it in the back of their \u2060mind, \u200bjust sitting there,\u201d said Jorgensen.<\/p>\n
\u201cI guess it\u2019s \u200babout sort of finding that balance, we’ve got a task at hand, and that’s to beat \u200bArgentina this week.”<\/p>\n
