{"id":45450,"date":"2026-09-14T18:16:36","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T16:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=45450"},"modified":"2026-09-14T18:16:36","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T16:16:36","slug":"sa-minister-launches-national-free-wills-week","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-minister-launches-national-free-wills-week\/","title":{"rendered":"SA Minister launches National Free Wills week"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: var(--global--font-size-base);\">South Africa\u2019s (SA) Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi has launched the National Free Wills Week at Ockley in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga.<\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"x_ms-outlook-mobile-signature\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The department, in partnership with the Law Society of SA is offering will drafting services free to the public.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Kubayi says they are encouraging South Africans to draft wills to prevent disputes after their loved one passes away.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Kubayi says, \u201cPeople can walk into our master\u2019s offices across the country and various areas that we have selected courts, we have circulated per province where they go get their wills. The importance of wills is to avoid conflicts when somebody has passed away.
