At least 220 UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) employees have been killed in Gaza since the Israel-Hamas war began in October 2023.<\/p>\n

UNRWA Acting Commissioner-General Christian Saunders said humanitarian personnel, facilities and operations had faced persistent danger throughout the conflict. \u201cThe longer impunity prevails, the more international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions will become irrelevant,\u201d Saunders said.<\/p>\n

Local authorities have reported 1 334 deaths and 4 429 injuries since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
UN security partners reported air strikes, shelling, gunfire and naval fire across Gaza over the weekend, particularly west of Israel\u2019s \u201cyellow line\u201d.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
OCHA said attacks on populated areas continued, causing casualties, damaging property and displacing families.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Nine in 10 Gaza residents are internally displaced, including many people forced to move repeatedly.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Overcrowded shelters, inadequate sanitation and limited access to safe water have increased the risk of respiratory infections, acute watery diarrhoea and acute jaundice syndrome.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Preparations for winter remain severely constrained by funding shortages and restrictions on essential materials entering Gaza.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
OCHA warned that delayed or denied approvals for engine oil and spare parts threatened generator-dependent water, sanitation, healthcare and waste-management services.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The World Health Organisation estimated that one in four Gaza residents could require acute or continuing healthcare, including treatment for serious injuries, burns and amputations.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The UN Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) reported that multiple children had been killed in attacks over seven days, while at least 13 others were injured. \u201cEvery child must be protected,\u201d UNICEF said. \u201cThe killing must stop.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In Lebanon, UN peacekeepers reported continuing Israeli military activity on land, at sea and in the air.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The UN Interim Force in Lebanon recorded drones dropping explosive-filled containers near Al Mansuri, including at least nine explosions on Saturday.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
UN peacekeepers also recorded 32 air strikes, frequent violations of Lebanese airspace and continuing artillery and military vehicle activity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A UN patrol was reportedly held for two hours northeast of Kafer Chouba on Sunday.<\/p>\n
