He confirmed that Japan is prepared to deploy specialized technology, technical know-how, and commercial expertise through Japanese firms to support SA energy, transport, and industrial projects.

The diplomatic engagement comes as both nations navigate parallel decarbonisation pathways, with Japan positioning its corporate sector to partner on large-scale infrastructure and green energy initiatives across Southern Africa.

“In the business area, we are doing various operations. For example, SA is facing what we call the challenge of just energy transition, and Japan is facing the same issue,” Shimizu noted. “We would like to co-operate with SA for the energy transition as well as decarbonisation. Japan is proud of our high-quality infrastructure. With Japanese techniques and know-how, we believe that we could work together with SA for the improvement of infrastructure, such as in the area of energy, transportation, and others, through Japanese companies.”

–ChannelAfrica–

[44
post-45746","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news-type-finance","entry
["GET
