{"id":45922,"date":"2026-09-19T11:57:02","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T09:57:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=45922"},"modified":"2026-09-19T11:57:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T09:57:02","slug":"sa-president-extends-madlanga-commission-final-report-deadline","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-president-extends-madlanga-commission-final-report-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"SA President extends Madlanga Commission final Report deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>South Africa&#8217;s (SA)\u00a0 President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the deadline for the Madlanga Commission&#8217;s final report to January 25, 2027.<\/div>\n<div id=\"ms-outlook-mobile-signature\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It was expected to submit its final report by November 16, 2026.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The judicial Commission of Inquiry led by retired Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, \u00a0was established in September last year to investigate explosive allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the country&#8217;s criminal justice system.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To date over a 100 witnesses have testified.
