The value of gold shipments surged 35% to $788.45 million in July.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div>Earnings from gold were up \u200bdue to higher \u200bexport \u2060volumes and an increase in international gold prices amid &#8220;increased demand for \u200bgold as a safe haven \u200bamid \u2060heightened global geopolitical tensions,&#8221; the ministry said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div>Uganda is a regional gold-processing hub.
