{"id":46993,"date":"2026-10-01T10:17:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T08:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=46993"},"modified":"2026-10-01T10:17:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T08:17:11","slug":"zimbabwean-born-british-national-expected-in-sa-court-for-extradition-proceedings","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/zimbabwean-born-british-national-expected-in-sa-court-for-extradition-proceedings\/","title":{"rendered":"Zimbabwean-born British national expected in SA court for extradition proceedings"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Zimbabwean-born British national Ndodana Tshuma is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate&#8217;s Court in South Africa (SA) this Thursday for extradition proceedings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"x_ms-outlook-mobile-signature\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">SA authorities have received an extradition request and arrest warrant from the United Kingdom, where Tshuma is wanted in connection with the alleged murders of his wife and two daughters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Meanwhile, his plea and sentence proceedings was yesterday postponed to the 21st of this month after the court heard that negotiations between Tshuma and the State have not yet been finalised.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Tshuma pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as entering SA illegally.
