The move follows a directive sent to all 54 CAF member associations by interim General Secretary Samson Adamu earlier this week, requesting their official recommendations on whether the flagship tournament should be hosted every two or four years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Motsepe noted that the consultation process has yielded overwhelming backing for the shorter interval, aligning with his own long-held stance on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I made an announcement a few weeks ago in Cape Verde that we will be reviewing, and there was popular support for going back to two years, which is something that I&#8217;ve always supported,&#8221; Motsepe said. &#8220;I&#8217;m very clear in my mind. I&#8217;ve received lots of correspondence from our member associations, and what should happen is we should have the AFCON every two years.
