Bellarmine Mugabe, the son of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has been deported from South Africa. This after the Alexandra Magistrate's Court handed him a non-custodial sentence following the shooting of his gardner at his Hyde Park home in February.
...Bellarmine had pleaded guilty to pointing a firearm and being in the country illegally earlier this month. He was ordered to pay a fine of 36 thousand dollars. His co-accused, Tobias Matonhodze was sentenced to a total of three years in jail for contravening the immigration laws, defeating the ends of justice and possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Tanzania's High Commissioner to South Africa, James Bwana, has dismissed as unfounded viral social media messages claiming that there are xenophobic attacks in South Africa. He says Tanzanians living in South Africa are safe. Bwana says misleading videos have caused panic among... families back home.

A civic movement Progressive Forces of South Africa is picketting outside the High Court in Pretoria ahead of the case between the Zambian government and the family of the late former president Edgar Lungu. The matter concerns the repatriation of Lungu's remains to Zambia.

He died in June last year at the age of 68. Lungu had developed complications following surgery. The movement's president is Mthetho Ngcukayithobi says ss black South Africans they are still fighting the displacement during colonization. Graves play a very significant role in the process of claiming the land. They do not want the Lungu descendants to claim land in the future used by their grandfather.

Members of the South African civic organization, the Progressive Movement, are mobilizing to stage a picket outside the Pretoria High Court in support of the Zambian government’s position that former President Edgar Lungu should be laid to rest in Zambia.
The Zambian ...government and the Lungu family are expected to face off in court this Thursday in a legal dispute over the custody and final resting place of his remains.
