It is the first such meeting since President Muhammadu Buhari was elected, and it follows his visits recently to Niger and Chad and his attendance at the just-ended G7 summit in Germany. Thousands of lives have been lost in Nigeria since 2008 as a result of the terror perpetrated by Boko Haram.The crisis has spilled to neighbouring countries in the form of Boko Haram carrying out attacks or refugees fleeing to seek refuge.
