The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, the Hawks in South Africa's Mpumalanga province have arrested two Home Affairs officials for allegedly issuing South African Identity Documents to foreign nationals.

It is alleged that the employees issued ID's to... four Zimbabwean nationals and one Mozambican.

Hawks spokesperson Magonseni Nkosi says the suspects were stationed at the Home Affairs offices in Secunda.

Nkosi says more arrests are imminent.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is working with countries involved in the response to the hantavirus cases onboard a ship off Cabo Verde, as well as the ship's operators, and carrying out risk assessments to guide next steps.

The focus includes keeping the ...remaining passengers and crew safe. WHO is working with authorities to understand the source of exposure through epidemiological investigations and doing contact tracing to identify any further cases.

Anti-corruption leaders from over 25 African countries have gathered in Yaoundé, Cameroon, for the 16th Commonwealth Regional Conference of Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Africa.

The conference is focused on "Deploying Artificial Intelligence in the Fight ...Against Corruption in Commonwealth Africa". Delegates are expected to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and advance practical solutions to corruption challenges.
