The families of two anti-apartheid activists from Giyani in Limpopo province, are calling for justice, nearly four decades after their loved ones were executed by the apartheid government.
Alex Matsepane and Solomon Mawasha who were members of the United Democratic Front,... were hanged at Pretoria Central Prison, now known as Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre, in 1986 and were given paupers' burials.
They were convicted of leading a protest against the imposition of tribal authorities. The families are now pinning their hopes on the TRC Cases Inquiry.

Police in South africa's Lompopo province say a stolen vehicle which was being smuggled into Zimbabwe through the Beitbridge border post in Musina has been recovered after a shootout between law enforcement officers and the smugglers.
Police spokesperson Malesela ...Ledwaba says the police and soldiers were not wounded. He says the smugglers abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into the Zimbabwean side while firing at law enforcers.
Ledwaba says officers from Zimbabwe were also alerted but the smugglers evaded arrest.
