[ON AIR] South Africa's Deputy President Paul Mashatile says Africa's culture and heritage need to be preserved.

He delivered the keynote address at the celebration of African World Heritage Day and the 20th Anniversary of the African World Heritage Fund, in Midrand, Gauteng ...Province.

Held under the theme "Celebrating Two Decades of Sustainable Investment in Africa's Heritage," the event brought together Representatives from Governments, the African Union, UNESCO, Development Finance Institutions, the private sector, civil society, philanthropy, as well as heritage experts to reflect on progress, strengthen partnerships, and mobilise renewed investment in Africa's heritage.

[ON AIR] Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has warned that the ruling party may be heading toward a potential downfall amid mounting speculation that his alliance with Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko is under strain.

The remarks come as Senegal grapples with mounting economic ...pressures linked to rising debt and the broader impact of the war in Iran.

In a televised address, Faye added that Sonko would remain in his position, provided he continues to "do his job properly."
